|Biography of Sarah Wegner |
Sarah Wegner is an accomplished Watercolorist. Her works over the years, in a Photo Realism Style, have included portraits, wildlife, still-life, home renderings, and her own creative compositions.
In a unique style all her own, she draws on the emotions of the moment with vitality that brings her works to life. Sarah's love for capturing life's beauty, drama, and passion crosses over into seeing life's humor and irony in her paintings.
Sarah started her career at Glen Oaks College in Michigan. Studying under a renown acrylic artist, Sarah ventured out with a cross technique of layering watercolors and mixing with a conventional watercolor wash technique. So unique, her paintings are often mistaken for photographs or confused with oils or acrylics due to the depth and vibrant color seen in her work.
Now living in Indianapolis IN, Sarah Wegner has been honored with awards, recognized in professional art exhibitions as well as in a national publication. Currently, She is a member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana, the Hoosier Solon Gallery of Indianapolis and a founding partner of The Collective Art Gallery, LLC located in Indianapolis
