| David Throndson was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 12, 1956. At The age of 14, his family re-located to Colorado. It was at this point in David's life that he fell in love with the natural beauty and splendor of the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains. David's paintings show his understanding of the lighting found in the natural settings of the Colorado landscapes. His bold use of color and light give his landscape paintings an exuberance that reflects the breadth and grandeur needed to capture the true essence of Colorado's natural scenery. |
After graduating from Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado, David studied fine art at both the Colorado Institute of Fine Art in Denver and the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo. David's paintings are highly sought after by corporate and private collectors worldwide. Although primarily known for his landscapes, David also paints wildlife imagery with a unique realism all his own. Patrons from across the United States as well as Europe, Japan and Mexico have added his work to their collections.
